For Families

Family Classes

Music is one of the most enjoyable ways to interact with children during their earliest years – it helps them to connect with their emotions and is known to improve linguistic development. hey dee ho offers community music classes specifically designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers to bond and have fun with their parents and caregivers.

Enriching and educational, our music program uses music, dance, role playing with props, puppets and instruments to make for highly entertaining sessions enjoyed by adults and children alike. Incorporating contemporary songs through to calming ballads, nursery rhymes and classical sounds, music helps prepare the brain for many important ways of thinking and learning.

In addition to musical terminology, dynamics, pitch and rhythm, a new theme is presented each week. A different focus is also included each term. Term 1 Auslan Sign Language; Term 2 Multicultural Languages; Term 3  Sol Fa singing methodology; Term 4 Spatial Awareness.

Our Classes

Sessions run for 30 minutes but we always allow for 45 minutes so we can get to know our families. We encourage you to stay following class to chat with the other parents and caregivers – it’s also a great chance for the children to have some social time together.

Classes are only $15.90 per session for the first child, $9.90 for siblings over the age of twelve months. Siblings under twelve months are free in a family class!
