Alanna studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Speech & Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre and developed a passion for teaching at a young age. She has taught in both Private Studio’s and School settings in Queensland and Victoria for the past 16 years.
Alanna has a Bachelor of Musical Theatre (Central Queensland University – Conservatorium of Music) majoring in Dance, Acting & Voice, A.T.C.L. in Musical Theatre (Trinity College of London) and a Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching (University of Southern Queensland). Alanna is a member of Ausdance Victoria and has obtained the Ausdance Skill Set in Teaching Dance, is an affiliate member of the Australian Teachers of Dancing and is a registered provider of the ATOD Imagine Program.
Alanna previously taught the Certificate III in Community Dance Course in Collingwood at the Cultural Infusion Studios through Melbourne Polytechnic.
Alanna’s passion is choreography for the stage and has choreographed many musicals over the years. Alanna has been the resident choreographer for the Hart Theatre Company and received Commendation Awards from the Victorian Musical Theatre Guild for her work on Sweet Charity (2013) and The Wizard of Oz (2014).
Alanna is a VIT registered teacher and holds a current senior first aid certificate. Alanna currently runs her own studio ‘Alanna’s Theatre and Dance Studio’ in Hampton and teaches Creative Dance for children 2 – 5 years and Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Drama and Musical Theatre for 6 year olds to adults. Alanna loves that Hey Dee Ho gives her the opportunity to combine her love of working with children and her passion for performing and teaching.
